Get a behind-the-scenes look at Sassi, one of the Valley's finest dining destinations, with a cooking demonstration and three-course meal by Executive Chef Peter DeRuvo at 2 p.m. on March 14.
AAA Four Diamond Sassi, specializing in cuisine inspired by the traditions of Southern Italy, is holding a 'Sundays with Chef Peter DeRuvo' cooking series throughout the year focusing on the regional cuisine of Italy.
The interactive cooking class is from 2 to 4 p.m. and costs $55 per person (plus tax and gratuity).
Featuring the regional cuisine of Basilicata, the March 14 event menu will include a first course of cavatelli pasta with turnips and ricotta salata; a main course of lamb shank with Mascarpone, polenta and local greens; and a dessert of blood orange sorbetti.
Guests will experience three courses with a glass of Italian wine and a welcome pour of Prosecco, along with the opportunity to learn one-on-one from Chef DeRuvo.
